91 Subaru Legacy RS

Overview

An All-Wheel-Drive, 2 Litre turbo sports sedan.

Specs (lifted from AutoSpeed.com article)
  • Power: 147kW (200hp) @ 6000rpm
  • Torque: 260Nm (192ft/lb) @ 3600rpm
  • Weight: 1355kg (2990lb)
  • 0-100km/h: 6.8s
  • Quarter Mile: 14.9s @ 148.7km/h (92.5mph)
  • Interior of vehicle. The speedo goes up to 240km/h. Interestingly engine redline is at 7000rpm but is marked at 6500.
Engine bay. The intake manifold sits under the plastic "4 Cam 16 Valve" cover while the IHI RHB52 turbo sits under the "chimney" to its left. The intercooler (with about 4kW capacity) is of the water-to-air type which does not seem to be very common in modern cars.
The K&N FilterCharger (replacing the factory air filter) which came with the car when I bought it.
Exhaust system was factory standard, possibly with a changed muffler and a decorative chrome tip.

    Modifications

  • Big bore exhaust
  • Boost gauge
  • Boost controller
  • Struct tower brace
  • Final tune: A-PEX'i air filter, VF23 turbo, PossumLink ECU, SX Fuel Regulator
140kW at the wheels on a rolling dyno.
